I was once lost
in a very scary place,
and I had so many monsters
that I could not face.

For true love,
I was afraid,
but years later,
that would fade!

I thought I was strong,
brave, and very tough,
but in a prison cell,
God showed me enough.

Then I cried,
“God, if You’re there,
please come save me,
and Lord, put these sins under Thee!”

On that very night,
I seen God’s bright light.

The next day,
the mail came,
with a letter
from an unknown name!

She said she wanted
to get to know me;
we both agree—
if God’s will, it must be!

It is our song,
and only we can sing it,
and honesty is the only way
we will fit.
