My name is Charlie Kingsley. I enjoyed your course on the "Edovo" educational platform. My 11 negative issues have been transformed into some useful material to me. I like the idea of transforming these issues into something great. This material is right up my alley, so to speak, because I've been on the journey of changing my life like this for a long time.
Don't get me wrong — this hasn't happened overnight. I've been locked up for 30+ straight years. I'm not trying to scare you off, but juvenile life has been tough since 1995. Yes, my heart has been there, loving my family and wanting out, but addictions blocked me. I wasn’t good mentally when I did get busted — that meant five years of denial. Those addictions, money, and other things made me want out. Anyways, long story short, it’s taken me a long time to finally learn to do things right. I realized there is no half-stepping — it just doesn’t work.
It’s funny, from what I know, the words empathy, remorse, etc. have become part of me. I study self-help stuff just to show that regular people, inmates included, can change and know better. Somehow I just woke up after some crisis and saw the light. It’s never too late.
It really begins when we are authentic in doing what is right and clean of soul and clear-minded to make real changes, even when no one is watching. Now I make healthier choices, learning and applying myself by doing the work. Years later, all my actions are centered around achieving my goals, being productive, helping those around me who need it, dedicating my time and talents to my current commitment.That’s why your course has touched me — because the more I do, it’s like I’m actually attracting good vibes now. I only spend my time helping.
FYI, a few years ago, I would never have thought I’d be doing daily yoga, meditation, working out on a routine, and journaling. Wow, life is really coming together. I’m proof change can happen. It’s about putting God first, staying sober, and putting a lot of things together.
I would like to try to submit some of my art. I would love to join the free artist program. I'm in prison, so I have a lot of free time.
